Our story
From a royal guild to a global gastronomic community.
The society's heritage dates to Paris in 1248, when King Louis IX established a guild of royal roasting-jack professionals. Revived in 1950 by a group of gastronomes, the modern Chaîne brings professional and amateur members together in appreciation of fine cuisine.
